Terms of Service

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Chatterly Calls ("the Service") lets you place telephone calls where text you type is spoken aloud and the other party's speech is shown to you as text. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service is — and isn't

The Service is assistive communication software. It is not a telecommunications relay service, not a substitute for one, and cannot place emergency calls. Never rely on the Service to reach 911 or any emergency number — use your device's native dialer or your local emergency SMS/RTT service.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live). You are responsible for activity on your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for: unlawful robocalling or spam; harassment, threats, or fraud (including impersonating someone else without their consent); calls that violate telemarketing laws (such as the TCPA in the United States); or any illegal purpose. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

4. Call disclosure

Calls begin with an automated announcement telling the other party that a typing assistant and synthesized voice are in use. You agree not to circumvent this disclosure.

5. Plans, trials, and billing

New accounts receive a limited number of free trial minutes. Paid subscriptions renew monthly through our payment processor (Stripe) until canceled, which you can do at any time from the billing portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Minutes do not roll over. We may change prices with at least 14 days' notice.

6. Service quality

Speech recognition and synthesized speech are imperfect. Captions may contain errors, and you are responsible for verifying important information (amounts, dates, dosages, addresses) before acting on it. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties; we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the conduct of parties you call.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these terms, with a refund of any unused prepaid period if the termination was not caused by your breach.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the app at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
